Our customers have two options with regards to where the digitisation work is carried out...
OFF SITE DIGITISATION
Off site digitisation is when we perform the digitisation at our premises in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
You are free to post your items to us and we will return them the same way (generally insured).
Many of the items that we are asked to digitise are rare, precious, valuable and fragile. We are therefore happy to arrange a time to personally collect and then return your items using our own staff and vehicles (not a courier).
ON SITE DIGITISATION
On site digitisation is when we perform the digitisation at your premises. We are happy to travel to any location throughout the UK (England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales) and to most destinations within Europe.

We will supply all of the equipment and staff to work at your premises for the duration of the digitisation phase of your project.
The ideal room(s) or location(s) to carry out the digitisation will have the following characteristics:
- They will be reasonably close to the archive material (for ease of access)
- They will have no windows or have blinds at the windows (enables us to control any light/shadows)
- The lights within the room(s) can be switched off
- They are not used as a walk-through for members of staff or public
- They contain a standard size office desk (e.g. 150cm x 80cm) for us to use; one desk is needed per operator
- They contain an electricity point
- They have a ceiling height which is at least 1.7m from the top of the desk.
We are happy to work within your normal office hours (e.g. 9am to 5pm) however it is normally beneficial for us to work extended hours during our period on site - typically 8am to 6pm.
Only the digitisation element of your project is completed on site. Post image processing is normally performed off site.
The portable equipment that we use for on site projects is capable of digitising items up to A1 (89cm x 59cm) at 300dpi. Click here to find out more about Medium Format digitisation.
