Large Format Flat-Bed Digitisation
No physical contact is made with the document thereby eliminating any risk of damage to the media and allowing us to digitise absolutely any kind of material (paper, board, tiles, wood, cotton, canvas, bound books- anything!) We use a gantry system to raise and lower the head which means that we are not restricted as to the physical thickness of the media being digitised - the media can be as thin as a postage stamp or as thick as an Oak Tree! Using a gantry system also allows us to raise the head as high as we need to in order to capture the full media beneath - this has allowed us to capture documents at almost 2 x A0 in size without any need for stitching (graphically combining two images together to make one image). Under Glass OptionShould a perfectly flat image be required then we can place objects beneath glass. This helps to smooth out any wrinkles or curves on the media and works especially well with books.
On Site DigitisationWe understand that many of you are reluctant to let your more valuable documents out of your sight. That being the case we are able to come to your premises in order to perform the work. We provide the staff and the equipment. Our portable flat-bed equipment is capable of digitising A1 sized documents in full colour at around 300dpi and is especially suited to digitising bound book volumes.
