We can transfer your collection of cine film to a format more suitable for viewing such as DVD, Blu-ray, Image Sequence, ProRes and to Standard Definition (SD) or High Definition (HD). We also offer AVI and mini DV tapes for those wishing to edit their films themselves on their computer. We offer one to one frame scanning (every single frame is scanned) at 2K Film Resolution (2048 x 1556). Sound is transferred with our Dolby Stereo sound head.
We work with all types of cine film including standard 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm, 16mm.
Mitigating the risk of damage to your precious cine film is paramount to TownsWeb Archiving Ltd. Some equipment can suffer problems caused by damaged sprocket holes which cause the film to shudder and jump, often rendering the film useless as a stable picture cannot be made. Our sprocketless technology gently guides the film over the scanner. So if you have film that will not play in a projector then we may still be able to help you.
This sample of film was transferred from old film to DVD and AVI formats for one of TownsWeb Archiving’s clients.
We are happy to come to your premises with our own staff and GPS tracked vehicles to personally collect and return your items.
If you are interested in displaying your film/audio online for the public to view and listen too, then we can build websites or web pages (that sit within your existing website) that incorporate search engines and payment gateways so that the public can find and then pay for your film and audio to be downloaded.
