What is DocView?

DocView enables your staff and visitors to quickly search and flick through pages from bound publications. This software works extremely well with images of pages within books, ledgers, newspapers, registers and journals. DocView is hosted online. We also have a version that is PC based too.

Q. What Can DocView Do?

A. The software integrates with your scanned images and allows you to flick from page to page as though the publication was in your own hands. You can also:

Print, email and fax a page
Copy, cut and paste part of a page into another application (such as Microsoft Word, Excel or Outlook)
Search for pages that match certain criteria (e.g. search by date, name, age or any other fields which you can specify)
Perform a full text search (if the document has been OCR’d)

Q. What are the differences between local hosting and online hosting?

A. Hosting your publications ‘locally’ on your network allows ‘local’ office staff and visitors to access the material. Hosting your collections ‘online’ allows staff from any location that have access to the internet to view the material. Hosting online also allows your material to be integrated in to your website for public access and the opportunity to create revenue.

Q. How can my publications be searched?
